Isaac Arvold: "These Hands are Monsters"
With free hands Isaac Arvold turned Gallery Poulsen into one crazy installation, steaming with imprints of his significant and magical universe. If you haven’t seen the show yet, we strongly encourage you to visit the gallery before September 20th, where the show ends.
Upcoming show: ”Escape from New York! New Garde Now”
At this time we are in the middle of the busy preparations for the next show this fall. We have an exceptional show coming up, curated by Eric White and Morten Poulsen, with four American female artists: Alison Elizabeth Taylor, Kristen Schiele, Rachel Schmidhofer, and Robin Williams.
All artists have a very significant and recognizable visual language, but the resemblances is obvious; they represent the reality in a colorful, eyecatching and alternative way. Furthermore they all have a convincing and experimental approach to their medium, which opens our eyes and forces us see the world from a new angle. An effect that only the best and most alluring garde can create!
Opening Friday September 26th from 7-9 pm. The show runs from September 26th to November 8th.
"New New Berlin" in Texas
Last weekend Jade Townsend and William Powhida opened a spectacular exhibition at The Galveston Artist Residency in Galveston, Texas curated by Janet Phelps. This project, called "New New Berlin – The NevADA Art Show", is an extensive architectural installation consisting of a group of small houses, that all together simulate and capture the excitement of the wild west in today’s art market.
If you happen to be in Texas right now, you shouldn’t miss out on this original work of art. You can have a drink in the bar Duece, the bank Le Banco des Vertrauens offers on-demand mortgages for everyone, and you will get extra benefits if you wear a Stetson…
“Come for the cutting-edge artwork and stay for the possibilities of New New Berlin – you may never want to leave”, as it says in the press release.
