Staring at the Sun
February 23 - March 23
Although we live in a world full of darkness, art reveals the persistent luminosity of the human spirit. In the midst of the darkest days of political turmoil around the world, art may cut through the winter darkness like fiery rays of sunlight. Aaron Johnson’s new solo show ”Staring at the Sun” provides a lens into his personal quest to seek light in dark times.
Sasha Bogojev from Juxtapoz Magazine has been on a studio visit with Aaron Johnson while his exhibition was in the making. Read the article HERE

Being There Then
February 23 - March 23
Alongside Aaron Johnson, we are delighted to present the first solo show by Colin Chillag in our gallery. His exhibition ”Being There Then” is based on his collection of polaroid photos from the 1960s and 1970s, depicting scenes as emanations of a past reality. Chillag has derived the titles of the paintings directly from the terminology of German philosopher and seminal thinker, Martin Heidegger, as a humorous answer to the meaning of existence.
Colin Chillag’s work has been featured in several exhibitions at in both galleries and museums. He has been featured in articles for Beautiful Decay, Juxtapoz and Hi-Fructose.

Nicola Verlato invitational show
March 30 - April 27
For our second exhibition of the spring, we have entrusted Nicola Verlato with the task of creating an invitational show. Much to our delight, Verlato has invited Ian Ingram to exhibit alongside him and his spectacular mythical universe. Ingram’s hyper-realistic and distinctly hypnotizing portraits compliment Verlato’s visual narratives beautifully.
Ian Ingram is no stranger to the art scene, and is already leaving heavy marks with his visionary yet tender brush strokes of such precision that he manages to create an almost hauntingly intimate space between the painting and its viewer.
Ian Ingram’s work is included in numerous private collections, as well as the permanent collection of the De Young Museum in San Francisco, California and the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira, New York.
