From New York to Copenhagen
Christian Rex van Minnen is up to something and it's pretty spectacular!
On October 14th we open the doors to Christian Rex van Minnen’s second solo show ”Enantiodromia” in Gallery Poulsen and this will not go unnoticed. As a special gesture we had the immense pleasure of hosting an exclusive preview in Brooklyn, New York, displaying the 12 grandiose pieces, the New York-based artist has created for the exhibition in Copenhagen. The masterfully painted mutants, gelatinous shapes and grotesque ceramic figures were the source of great attention, adoration and curious wondering from the buzzing crowd, drawing them in completely.
Christian Rex van Minnen is an artist in very high demand, thus the exhibition has already recieved great reviews before its official opening. Writers from high profile art magazines such as Juxtapoz and Arrested Motion were present at the preview. Read their reviews right here:

The Merging of Nicola Verlato
We are delighted to announce that our very own Nicola Verlato is participating in Nuit Blanche Toronto on October 1st 2016. Nuit Blanche is a spectacularly grand contemporary art project, allowing more than 300 international artists to transform the city of Toronto.
Nicola Verlato has been invited to create a large-scale narrative mural, using 3D scans to produce a digital animation of interconnected spaces and figures in motion, allowing viewers to explore multiple dimensions of the space through an app, where the animation will be accessible.
Nicola Verlato's contribution to Nuit Blanche entitled ”The Merging” is created in his own distinct renaissance style, inspired by the traces of two of Toronto's historic figures: philosopher Marshall McLuhan and mathematician Donald Coxeter.

Nicola Verlato’s work will be showcased along with artists such as Jose Lerma, Tim White-Sobieski, Maria Jose Arjona, Arturo Duclos, Erwin Olaf, Rebecca Belmore, Santiago Sierra, Trevor Mahovsky, Rhonda Weppler, Enrique Marty.

Currently on view - New York Academy of Art: "Graduates 2016"
Back in Copenhagen, we are currently showing the remarkably talented young graduates from the New York Academy of Art. Angela Gram, Jaclyn Dooner, Taylor Schultek and Jiannan Wu each made the trip over the Atlantic to be at the opening on September 16th, and what a night it was!
The great recognition and immense interest in each of the four artists and their distinct style of work solitified the unique quality that we saw in them when we invited them to exhibit. They even caught the eye of US Embassador Rufus Gifford, who came to the opening to experience their sharp aesthetic expressions in person and congratulate his fellow Americans on the succes of the show.
They each found themselves in demand for more works and have gone straight back to their studios! We cannot wait to see what they have in store for us next!
Don’t miss the opportunity to see this excellent show – it runs until October 8th!
