Autumn Exhibition

In the midst of the cold and dark fall weather, gradually settling in the streets of the Brown Meatpacking District, Poulsen has journeyed off on an artistic excursion to New York to visit the studios of each and every one of our artists. Here, he will personally be handpicking entirely new masterpieces for our upcoming Autumn Exhibition.

Inside the raw ingenious hub of Brooklyn is where the magic happens! Aaron Johnson has created a brand new work in his new series of exquisite absurdities. Less absurd, but equally powerful is Angela Gram’s distorted animalistic imagery. A structured architectural landscape illustrates Taylor Schultek’s formidable philosophical contemplations on our exploratory relationship with space. John Jacobsmeyer has completely outdone himself and created the largest woodcut in his preliminary body of work.

One work after the other, each more poignant and riotous than the other, will make for an incredible Autumn Exhibition! Impeccable craftmanship and mischievous tales will surely allure anyone who lays eyes on this magnificent group show.

We could not be more thrilled to take this unique opportunity to show you exactly what they have been hiding away in their studios and give you a direct insight into their work, painted so recently that the varnish is hardly dry. See the outcome of Poulsen’s latest excursion when we invite you to join us for the vernissage on Saturday October 28th.

The Autumn Exhibition will run from October 28 to November 11 in our Copenhagen gallery, giving you the opportunity to have an exclusive view of the most recent paintings, fresh out of the studios of our fierce team of artists.

Currently on view: "Garden of Hell on Earth" by Eldon Garnet

We are currently showing a vigorous new solo show of photography by Canadian multidisciplinary artist, Eldon Garnet. In “Garden of Hell on Earth”, you walk directly into Garnet's mythical wasteland - an artistic tableau of staged human installations.

As the title explicitly indicates, Eldon Garnet has created a paradise devoured by rottenness, leaving man naked and crushed in a devastated desert of aseptic ashes. In ten large-scale iconic photographs, Garnet shows us a poetic world, where time stands still for a moment in the aftermath of a brutal breakthrough.

Upcoming show: "Chronos" by Taylor Schultek

Latest work by Taylor Schultek: "Concerns of a Collapsing Construct" 2017, oil on linen, 102 x 76 cm, 40 x 30 in

We are very excited to finish off the year with a spectacular new solo show by Taylor Schultek - a rising young star we scouted in the talent pool of the renowned New York Academy of Art. With his poetic investigations into light, time and space, expressed through meticulous composition, his work never fails to allure people and draw them into his breathtakingly raw realities.

With a firm brush he illustrates a number of seemingly deserted alleys and abandoned spaces. The discreetly embedded, yet alluring glimmers of light reveal, however, that they are not desolated spaces. On the contrary, they are an expression of man's imprint on the world. Each beam of light heralds life just around the corner.

Stay tuned - this is one you are not gonna want to miss!
